Classes I to XII

In order to prepare students for the Annual Examination, the school will conduct four written examinations:

  • Unit Test 1 to be conducted in the month of July comprising the syllabus covered in the first quarter of the session.
  • Half-Yearly Examination to be conducted in the month of September based on entire syllabus covered in the first two quarters of the session.
  • Unit Test 2 to be conducted in the month of December comprising the syllabus covered in the third quarter of the session.
  • Final Examination to be conducted in the month of March (the following year) covering the syllabus mentioned in the micro teaching planner.

Besides the written tests, students shall also be assessed for the following:

  • Notebook maintenance (for each subject) to be adjudged on regularity of work, timely completion and submission of homework issued to students and the neatness of the notebook.
  • Subject Enrichment Activities to be conducted for each subject regularly during the session. These shall include Laboratory work, projects, model making, map work, field trips and related assignments, debates, stage performances etc.

Co-Scholastic Areas to be assessed by the concerned teachers on a FIVE point grading scale covering areas like life skills, attitudes and values, participation and achievement in activities such as – work education, performing arts, art education and health & physical education.

Students shall also be graded by the class teacher for discipline on a FIVE point grading scale considering the attendance, sincerity, behaviour and values.

Rules for Assessment

There is no provision for reassessing students who remain absent on the day of the assessment, or those who have failed in one or more subjects. Request for change in assessment dates or timings will not be entertained.

Unfair Means

Students found using any unfair means during any of the assessments, will be awarded Zero in that subject. Parents and the concerned student will be summoned and asked to provide an explanation. A repeat of such action in future will result in the prompt issue of a Transfer Certificate, without notice.

The answer scripts of the assessment will be shown to students after evaluation. Errors in evaluation, such as mistakes in totaling, unmarked answers, etc., must be brought to the notice of the concerned teachers on the same day itself.

Request for the issue of Progress Report before the declaration of results will not be entertained.

To be eligible for promotion, a student must secure a passing grade / mark in each subject in the overall performance of the whole year.

If, in any case, the students get absent in any of the exams be it PTs, Mid-Term Examination or Final Term Examination then he will not be ranked in the class.

In matters of promotion and detention, the decision of the Principal is final.
